In case you missed it, a few weeks back Google announced that a large portion of their internal staff have been working on a top secret project. This team has been putting together the inner workings of the NEW Google search engine architecture.

This next generation search engine is code named “Caffeine”

This new internal infrastructure will sit hidden and under the hood. What that means for the average user? Most will not even notice a difference while searching. But for some super searchers (the power group) and developers they may notice the improvements.

You may recall that I for one pointed out a little thing I noticed called “see more results from” text listed just below some sites when searching.  This gives the searcher the ability to see more articles from a particular site…enter the next Gen-Google Search Engine! Bingo!

A Google released response states that- ”

‘it is the first step in a process that will increase indexing speed, accuracy as well as comprehensiveness’

So far the feedback has been mixed from affiliate marketers in general. Some have seen their bread and butter sites move down while other have seen some move up. Its appears that Google may be finally putting a premium on quality content, I for one welcome that change!
