Lets face it PPC is one of the most profitable investments anyone can make when it comes to Internet marketing. I know it is for me…my techniques/strategy has not changed much over the years.
One thing you should be doing is testing the market, stick to product names that are specific. When starting a new campaign initially theirs not a lot of money to waste, so you need to be looking for words that will convert. This will ensure that your narrowing the field and your click through rates will improve. Check Out Beating Adwords Now!
Next analyze the project and start bidding on some general terms. Eliminate the keywords that do not convert but remember this step will cost you. because of the time involved you could lose a few hundred dollars before your done.
THIS is why PPC is not for the beginner…no one wants to lose money, right!
- Here are a couple of basics steps I follow on my campaigns…Start small, with only a few keywords in groups and do not try to target too many words in the same ad. Closely monitor your Click Through Rates as well as your conversions…which ones are making you money!
- Of course you’ll need to do some split testing…check ads and words against each other by rotate multiple ads. Again its all about the CTR and what converts.
- Here is one of the best pieces of advice I ever received regarding PPC and that’s don’t be afraid to do what others are NOT. Its important to stand out! Vary your headlines for everyone else, go against the grain and automatically you will get clicks.
PPC competition is fierce and if your not prepared correctly you will loose money. But no need to fear…if you do your research and test the market it can be very lucrative.

Now I know what I was doing wrong. If it don’t stand out it won’t get traffic. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!
