Now I hate to generalize but sometimes you have to because the Stats just don’t lie!

I’ve spent many years showing and teaching people how to make money from affiliate marketing. And the one things that continually keep coming up,  is that the newbie is looking for…

“The Golden Rule” or “The Proverbial Secret”  that will turn them into an instant success…Well the truth is,  there really is no one “Secret” at all!

Yes, there are plenty of trick and techniques that I and others have tested that really do work. These can be and should be used as a guide to build on.

However, as far as there being one big secret that all super affiliates have that the others are searching for, well its really not there!

Here’s what is Needed to succeed…

The one glaring difference between that Super-affiliate on that internet Millionaire is that they have taken the time to learn and study their craft. They have made a commitment to themselves,  to learn and study the skills needed to be successful… and of course they have all put the work in that’s necessary to achieve it!

So if you want it, you’ll need to put the work in…no magic, no secret formula other than hard work. Take a stand and take charge of your life newbie…only then will you be successful!

You all know I’m a big fan of Wordpress and if your using it then you need to make sure its set to Ping!  Thats done through the the Admin sections…look for Options then click on the Writting portion.

Once there, you can enter blog search engine information in the update service box which is located at the bottom of the page.

It first started in New York and now it’s slowly gaining momentum in other States…what are we talking about? Internet Tax Laws also know as Nexus Tax laws.

First what is Nexus? Means that a business has a sufficient connection with the taxing State to allow the State to have taxing authority. More at Answers.com

Make no mistake about it this a very BIG DEAL, especially for affiliate marketers!

If you have an affiliate business in one of the State’s that have passed such laws then you have already felt the pinch…

Case in point-lets touch on AMAZON’s associate program. There’s a lot of people out there making a very good living off of promoting and selling Amazon’s products. But if you live in a State that has recently passed a Nexus law or is in the process of doing so, then your going to be out of luck! You see Amazon wants nothing to do with paying taxes for affiliates, even though it really would not be that difficult for them. They feel that having affiliates does not mean that they have a physical presence within that State. Here lies the problem is!  The States disagree, and believe that if your affiliates are conducting business on your companies behalf then you certainly do have a presence!

A few weeks back I posted a tweet about JING asking everyone to check it out, well that tweet received over 4,000 hits alone and still going! WOW…

Most people are just beginning to understand the value of video and how much it can add to your promotions. However, for one reason or another most are just not using video period!

Some reasons why…

• Cost of buying good software, probably the number one reason!
• Comfort level-most are not ready to promote a product using video.

OK, so what about JING, did I mention its Free..oh ya I did!

Well JING is put out by Techsmith, if your not familiar with them they also put out Camtasia.  Probably one of the most widely used video capture programs out there, it provides great quality and flexibility. Definitely the Cadillac version.

With that said, JING would be considered the VW version, really good but without all the bells and whistles.

In case you missed it, a few weeks back Google announced that a large portion of their internal staff have been working on a top secret project. This team has been putting together the inner workings of the NEW Google search engine architecture.

This next generation search engine is code named “Caffeine”

This new internal infrastructure will sit hidden and under the hood. What that means for the average user? Most will not even notice a difference while searching. But for some super searchers (the power group) and developers they may notice the improvements.

A friend of mine sent me this video at first I was very skeptical, you see it has Frank Kern in it and when it comes to Frank I’m always a bit leary. Yes its true, Frank is highly regarded by most within the Affiliate Marketing world.

Frank Kern is very successful and has been a pioneer in this business for a long time, no doubt about that. As for me I just have not come across anyone who has had much success with his products. So that’s what makes me wonder if he’s just the ultimate “Pitch Man” or does his stuff really work?

So I sit down and click the link, and low and behold its Tony Robbins discussing how he’s going to have this chat with both John Reese & Fran Kern. So right off that bat I’m like,  Hmmm…Tony Robbins?

Anyways to cut to the chase-I hit the play button and settle in. It quickly becomes clear that this interview really is hitting home! Its about how and why people succeed or not, in any field. What traits successful people have in common that make them successful.

I may have been wrong about Frank, watch the video! This might be the most genuine I have ever seen him. It very well might be that people who buy the products just don’t follow through. They are unable to take action for one reason or another.

I have to say that most affiliate marketers really pay close attention to what goes on with Google. From basic rankings to the Google slap, we’re all fascinated by how this search engine operates. We’ll I have to say I have also am a Google watcher and lately I noticed that they have made some changes…They offering a “show more results” option on the first page of a Google search!
